These Air-Fryer Fingerling Potatoes are the perfect side dish to any recipe! Crispy potatoes, ready in just 15 minutes all from the convenience of the air-fryer, you can't go wrong with these!
I don't know about you but I am a huge potato lover. I can eat them pretty much in any form or any way and I will always love them. One of the things I love best about these potatoes is that I can make them in 15 minutes. Literally, 15 minutes! Most of the time if can take up to half an hour or 45 minutes to roast potatoes in the oven, however when you use the air-fryer, it is much quicker. These crispy potatoes are the perfect side dish for any meal and are pretty much foolproof. You will love them!

What Makes These Air-Fryer Fingerling Potatoes The Best
- Easy and Quick Meal- This side dish will be on the table in 15 minutes flat! It is perfect for when you are in a rush or trying to get dinner on the table. I love how easy this recipe is.
- Full of Nutrients- Potatoes contain a lot of essential vitamins and nutrients, including vitamin C, vitamin B6, and potassium. They are a good source of folate, niacin, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, and manganese. Plus they are delicious so it's a win win!
- Family Friendly- Because these potatoes get so crispy in the oven, they almost taste like odd-shaped french fries. They are sure to be a hit with everyone in the family, even the pickiest of eaters!
Ingredient Notes
- Fingerling Potatoes- Fingerling potatoes are perfect for this recipe because they are small potatoes and they get really crispy when put in the air-fryer. You can also use Yukon Gold Potatoes if you wish, I would just recommend getting the baby variety.
- Olive Oil- We do use a touch of olive oil in this recipe to coat the potatoes. The olive oil helps to crisp up the potatoes in the air-fryer, we only use 2 tablespoons though which is much less than if we would have fried them!
- Rosemary- To add flavor, I added some fresh chopped rosemary. You can season these potatoes however you want, I have used everything from simple salt and pepper to fun twists like Old Bay Seasoning. Everything is a win here, I just really love the simple and clean flavor of the rosemary.
See the recipe card for the full ingredient list and quantities.
Instructions
- Roughly chop the potatoes, try to keep them a similar size. These potatoes are small so I just quartered them.
- Add the potatoes to a bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
- Toss with rosemary, salt and pepper
- Add the potatoes to the air fryer. Make sure to add them in a single layer so they will cook evenly.
- Cook at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, tossing halfway through
Hint: Make sure to chop the potatoes into an equal size or they will not cook evenly. The best thing about fingerling potatoes is that they are already small so I was able to just quarter them.
Substitutions
- Herbs - If you don't have rosemary on hand, feel free to use any herbs that you prefer. I have even made these with just some Italian seasoning before and they turned out perfect!
- Parsnips - If you want to diversify this recipe a little, throw in some parsnips with the potatoes to make it even more delicious! They will have a similar cook time, just make sure they are cut the same size.
- Vegan Parmesan - Add some vegan Parmesan to the finished potatoes to really boost that savory, umami flavor.
Variations
- Spicy - If you want to add a bit of heat, add some red chili flakes in with the herbs.
- Old Bay- I love seasoning these potatoes with a little bit of Old Bay seasoning to give a spicy and savory flavor.
- Pesto - After cooking, drizzle the potatoes with some pesto to give it an extra flavor boost!

FAQ's
A Fingerling potato is a small, stubby, finger-shaped type of potato. Fingerlings are varieties that naturally grow small and narrow.
Fingerling potatoes have a firm, waxy texture with a buttery, nutty and earthy type of flavor. They remind me a lot of baby Yukon gold potatoes. Due to their firm, waxy texture, they are perfect for getting crisp in the air-fryer!
Yes! The skin on fingerling potatoes is very thin and you do not need to peel them. I find the skin perfect because it crisps up and becomes really flavorful!

Top tips
- Brush the air-fryer basket with a little bit of olive oil before frying in addition to tossing the potatoes in the oil. It will help them to not stick to the air fryer.
- Make sure to keep the potatoes in an even layer in the air fryer basket. It will help the air fryer circulate the air and cook the potatoes evenly. Toss halfway through to make sure the potatoes get cooked fully.
- All air fryers are different so make sure to check your potatoes at the halfway mark. If you find that they are getting too crisp, go ahead and take them out.
