What Makes These Burritos So Great
- Easy and Quick Recipe- This recipe is so easy and quick to make! You literally are just throwing some frozen pre-made burritos in and letting the air fryer do the work. All in 15 minutes!
- Healthier- Air frying uses so much less oil than deep frying and you still get that crispy, crunchy burrito!
- Easy Clean Up-The other perk to this recipe is the easy clean up! This recipe is as simple as washing and drying your air fryer after use!
Ingredient Notes
- Frozen Pre-Made Burritos- Any frozen burritos work, I like to always use a vegan burrito. Some of my favorites are the Trader Joe's brand and the Annie's brand. Check out this recipe to make your freezer burritos!
- Canola Oil (Optional)- I love the textural element of a crispy tortilla. I am not a huge fan of soggy tortillas so I like to crisp these up a bit by spraying a bit of canola oil on top of them before frying.
See the recipe card for the full ingredient list and quantities.
Instructions
- Place the frozen burritos in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are in an even layer. My air fryer can fit 3 at a time.
- Secure the basket in the air fryer and set the temperature to 400 degrees and the time for 7 minutes.
- When the timer goes off, remove the basket and flip the burritos.
- Cook an additional 8 minutes or until the burritos are cooked and warmed through.
- Remove from the basket, and enjoy!
Hint: Spray the burritos with some canola oil to make them crisp up as they cook!
Variations
Oven Method
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and remove the burrito from the packaging
- Place on a baking sheet and bake, uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven, wrap in foil and place back in the oven cooking for 15-20 minutes until warmed through.
Microwave Method
- Remove the burrito from the packaging and puncture it several times with a fork.
- Dampen slightly under running water and place on a microwave-safe dish. Drape loosely with a paper towel and heat on high for 3-4 minutes until warmed through.
How to Serve

- I also love serving these up alongside plenty of vegan sour cream and salsa!
FAQ's
These take 15 minutes to cook but that depends on your type of air fryer as all air fryers cook differently. Always check at the 10 minute mark and go from there.
My tried and true method for making sure these are cooked through is to insert a toothpick inside and make sure that it comes out clean as well as check if it is warm.
I love loading them up with dips such as guacamole or sour cream to really give them a flavor boost!
Equipment
Equipment can have a big impact on how a recipe turns out. See below for the equipment you will need to make this recipe.
- Air Fryer
- Serving Tongs
Storage
Store any leftover burritos in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat the burritos, set the air fryer to 400 degrees, place the burritos in a single layer and heat for 2-3 minutes or until reheated.
Since these burritos have already been frozen once, I would not recommend re-freezing them.
Top tips
- All air fryers cook differently. Cooking time may vary among different air fryers. If you're unsure of your specific air fryer's cooking time for these burritos, start checking for doneness after 10 minutes.
- Make sure to put everything in one layer and do not overload the air fryer or the frozen burritos will not cook through.
