Ingredient Notes
- Buffalo Sauce- To give this dip that iconic buffalo flavor, I used Frank's Hot Sauce. It has the perfect amount of heat without being overly spicy.
- Vegan Sour Cream- The sour cream gives this dip a little tang to cut through the spiciness of the hot sauce.
- Vegan Cream Cheese- To make this dip extra creamy and thick, this recipe uses vegan cream cheese instead of mayonnaise.
- Chickpeas-To give the dip a hearty consistency, chickpeas are used. This will make the dip filling as well as thick.

Can I make Buffalo Dip without Chicken?
Yes! Of course you can make buffalo dip without chicken. Buffalo chicken dip is a common appetizer that is served during sporting events. However, it isn't always friendly for us plant-based folks. Swapping the chicken for chickpeas is an easy substitution and will make the dip meat-free!
What is The Best Buffalo Sauce for Dip?
My favorite buffalo sauce to use is Frank's Red Hot. Their sauce has the perfect blend of spice and gives you the classic buffalo taste. Other great buffalo sauces that I have tried are The New Primal Buffalo Sauce and Primal Kitchen No-Dairy Buffalo Sauce. All are great options!

- Pita Chips
- Tortilla Chips
- Corn Chips
Storage
Because this dip is served cold, it can be made in advance. I like to make my dip 1-2 days in advance to give time for all of the flavors to meld together.
This dip will store for up to four days in the fridge. Make sure to store it in a covered, airtight container.
These ingredients don't stand up well to freezing.
Top tips
- Serve at room temperature. The cream cheese can stiffen up the dip and make it hard to scoop. Take this dip out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving. The dip will still be cold but will be dippable.
- To prevent double dipping serve with a spoon so people can spread their dip on their vessel of choice!
- If you want less heat, cut the hot sauce down to 1 cup instead of 1 ½ cups.
