This Mango Habanero Salsa is light and refreshing! The perfect appetizer to bring to your next party. This salsa has the perfect amount of kick and will be sure to impress!
Cut the habaneros in half and remove the seeds. Add them to a baking sheet. Cut the tomatoes and onion in half and place on the baking sheet with the peppers
Add the vegetables to the oven and broil on high until charred and blistered. About 5 minutes.
Place the roasted vegetables, mangoes, cilantro, salt, garlic, pepper cumin, and lime in the bowl of a food processor or blender.
Blend until smooth. Serve warm or chill overnight.
Notes
Make sure to use fresh mango. Fresh mango will bring a brightness and acidity that canned mango or frozen mango just can't replicate.
Taste and adjust the flavors. It is always key to taste your recipe before serving. If needed, add more salt or lime to taste.
If you don't like spice, you can omit the habanero or swap it for jalapeno.
Handling the peppers can cause a burning sensation on your skin. I encourage you to wear gloves while cutting these up.
